This follows up on Fedora 43 booted to a blank screen because that topic ended up intersecting a different problem around firmware which proved confusing to untangle.
Observations:
- sporadic, happens no more than once a week
- mini PC with Display Port monitor
- AMD GPU, see below
- I could log in to console using Ctrl-Alt-F2 and the system was otherwise fine
- however
systemctl sddm restartdid not fix the problem, restart did

kernel: amdgpu 0000:76:00.0: [drm] enabling link 0 failed: 15
Before creating the topic I noticed there are several variations of this behavior being discussed.
