I have applied the recommended patch
editing /usr/libexec/anaconda/webui-desktop and changing line 172 from:
DEFAULT_BROWSER_CMD=$(get_default_browser)
to:
DEFAULT_BROWSER_CMD=firefox
live system running from from the following ISO file, Fedora 43 Spins live Xfce
Fedora-Xfce-Live-43-1.6.x86_64.iso: 2816727040 bytes
SHA256 (Fedora-Xfce-Live-43-1.6.x86_64.iso) = 81dff1b667055b81707dd419f418422213464c094499673cfefd54a8aa6561e1
After installing the patch, the anaconda install programm worked prefectly and the resulting fc43 system works fine.
