[Fedora 43] Gnome slow thumbnails update in nautilus

Hello,
I installed glycin-thumbnailer, but I notice a delay in the appearance of thumbnails (photos or documents such as PDFs), as if the images were not cached.
This is very annoying and was not the case in F42.
What is the solution?

I installed glycin-thumbnailer

This is strange, it should be installed by default on Fedora Workstation 43+?

I notice a delay in the appearance of thumbnails (photos or documents such as PDFs), as if the images were not cached.

This should only happen when you open a folder for the first time (i.e. when the thumbnails really are not cached), but opening the same folder again should load thumbnails fast (i.e. from the cache). I don’t know why that would be the case, maybe looking at logs would help to see if there’s issues like the thumbnailer failing to write to the cache?

This is very annoying and was not the case in F42.

glycin wasn’t used for generating thumbnails on Fedora 42, so that’s probably why

After updating from 42 to 43, thumbnails updates stopped working.
The situation is described here:

I cleared the caches and noticed that the thumbnails are now gradually reappearing in the directory ~/.cache/thumbnails/x-large

Compared to F42 or even another older PC that is still running F41, displaying hidden thumbnails (alredy cached) in F43 takes now a little longer. It’s not much, but it’s noticeable.

I should upgrade the machine to F43, but I’m hesitating. While it’s not a major issue overall, there are still a few minor problems to be resolved.
