Fedora 43 -- GNOME login screen no longer supports X.org sessions

Looks like that Fedora 43 workstation will be miss X on org. GDM will show just wayland’s Desktop Enviroments and if you using any x11 DE will be disabled. My purpose is that we keep enabled xorg for GDM that we can use mix DE ( I like to use sometimes WindowMaker ).I understand that Gnome move to wayland only but we still have so much DE’s that use x11 and fedora provides those.

This seems to be the result of the following issue:

Specifically:

Note that Xorg support in GDM will likely be dropped in Fedora 43, this time for good.

Yes I’m aware of that but I asking for extension for it because users still use DE’s mix of x11 and wayland and disabling it will make less popular Gnome and fedora in general . Workstation still default fedora chose!

Support for launching X11 sessions from gdm was restored for Fedora 43 / GNOME 49 here:

Are you saying that this doesn’t work as expected?

Usually, users, who uses DEs other than GNOME, uses a different display manager or login manager, for example lightdm.

Yes ,but gnome users could use other DE’s too and with disabling X org they are deprived to use different DE’s.

Ohh that mean we will have opportunity to use x11 DE ! That is exactly what I was asking .Thanks!
