Fedora 42 not booting on Oracle ARM Instance

I’ve been able to upload the Fedora Cloud qcow2 image for x86_64 and use it to create an instance on Oracle Cloud, but I’m not able to get the aarch64 image to boot on their ARM instance. I’ve also tried Fedora Server for aarch64 and it’s not booting either.

After the ARM instance starts with Fedora Cloud the console will say that it’s unresponsive. It’s not possible to ping the machine or to connect to it using SSH. I haven’t been able to get any output from the boot process, but I’m far from an Oracle Cloud expert.

Fedora Server is not designed to run in a cloud system. So it’s not surprising that it doesn’t work.

Have you managed to run it?

What do you mean not designed? What is here Fedora Cloud | The Fedora Project ?

I can’t get it working either. I used the image
Fedora-Cloud-Base-Generic-43-1.6.aarch64.qcow2
Looks like it won’t even boot. Pity there’s no version specific for OCI.

There is a Fedora Core image specifically for OCI aarch64 and that works fine. But it’s Fedora Core so you can’t use it like a normal linux…
