So I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve changed virtual keyboard input settings from malilt to none or ibus, Set key repeat to 1000ms with a 15 repeat/s. I double checked to see if the key bounce in accessibility settings was turned off. I even did a key test in the terminal using sudo libinput debug-events. However nothing has fixed this problem.
Everywhere I read, I find this is a wayland problem and while Fedora 42 KDE has removed x11/xorg session logins for a while now, the only fix I can find online is telling me to use an x11 session. Though from what I read installing the x11/xorg package using sudo dnf install plasma-workspace-x11 won’t do anything.
This has been frustrating me for awhile now because it breaks my workflow when I do coding or other projects and makes inputting my password in the terminal a nightmare as I can’t see my inputs and a sudden key duplication is unable to be seen when inputting root password or user password.
Has there been patch that has come out yet, or is this problem at least somewhat mitigated in Fedora 43 KDE? I’ve been pulling my hair out over this.
I have a logitech g413 silver. (not available in keyboard models) and I have tested this keyboard in windows 10 and in Linux Mint. I don’t have this problem, so it’s not a keyboard hardware issue.
Much obliged if I could get pointed in the right direction.
