All;
I did a clean install of Fedora 42 - KDE a few days ago on a Lenovo Legion 9i
Everything works great but the fan speed is on high all the time, with Fedora 41 and earlier the fan speed was rarely on high
Thanks in advance for any help

Possibly a kernel issue with 6.14. You might want to try 6.13 to see if it is the kernel. I assume as you did a fresh install you do not have a 6.13 kernel installed.
Not sure off the top of my head now you get 6.13 for f42.
Someone else hopefully can help with the command to get 6.13.
SOLVED, I saw on a top command that baloo was going crazy. I assume because I have 338G of Documents and 489G of Pictures on my internal drives.
I disabled baloo since I never use the gui based searches anyway with:
$ balooctl6 disable
an my user, not root
Then I did a reboot and presto! no more constantly high fan speeds.
