Adding an extra bug here. I notice that the Cosmic Store is not functioning by default in the Atomic version of Fedora 42 Cosmic. Nothing is shown as already installed, there are no software icons and attempting to install any available flatpak does not initiate.
If I enable Flathub (not enabled by default) this changes and this error is resolved.
RPM-Ostree upgrade via the terminal does appear to work though.
Update: Cosmic store default to testing flatpaks. Changing the pull-down to system Flatpaks allows installations to take place.
UPDATE: As of of July 16,2025 this fault is still present. I decided to try Fedora Cosmic Atomic again and whilst the folders in home fault (still present in the download image) is fixed via an rpm-ostree upgrade the Cosmic Store remains crippled and unusable out of the box unless you manually install Flathub as an install option.
Can you please tell me how to do this? Having the same problem.

How do I change the pull down
This only works if you install flathub manually. As of July 2025 this is still broken unless you do this. Follow the instructions on flathub.org. After that, for some apps (not many) you get a pull down option for the source of your install though mostly only the flathub option will work.
I’m stunned that this fault is still not fixed.
I am a new user and it is very frustrating that this doesnt work.
Also when i finaly see that i need to change the dropdown from testing… when it finaly starts installing, my experience is that it does not install anything. The progress bar just stops at some random number.
i am stuck with this OS where i cant do any meaningfull work, because of the lack of installing usefull things.
Cosmic is beta software. If your need is stability you may use a regular edition with matured software stack.

And the github issue tracker. 1200 reported bugs btw.

I understand that and run Cosmic on both PopOS and non atomic Fedora. The issues i had were not present on those platforms and was present on the Fedora atomic release so it was an issue with the Fedora atomic version specifically.
