Hi and welcome to :fedora: !

I’m assuming you’re on Fedora Workstation. After installing the OS, did you bring the system up to date? If not, you should bring it up to date first (with sudo dnf upgrade --refresh, or via GNOME Software), to make sure this is not an issue that was fixed in the meantime.

If the issue still occurs, what you could try is first log into the Google account with the default browser, and only afterwards try to set it up in GNOME Online Accounts.

Hello and thanks,

Yes, Workstation… yes, up-to-date. Mozilla logged into account Google before starting the process. I just noticed a failed pop-up on the online accounts windows, may not be a new thing I just noticed it now.

May or may not be related but when I restarted my F41 workstation this morning, gnome could no longer access my Google online account. And I could not re-authenticate.

I deleted my online account from gnome, rebooted and tried again. It then worked.

I have no idea what the problem was.
