Fedora 41 does not boot after hibernate

This morning, my laptop denied booting, being stuck at the splash screen. When starting in rescue mode, I can see it times out on

waiting for device /dev/mapper/fedora_localhost--live-swap

This seems to be a hibernation issue if I understand correctly (even though I never configured that).

When booting into rescue mode, I cannot do a lot. All disks seems to be gone (nothing in /dev/mapper), and I have no tools available: no fdisk, no lvs, etc.

How can I get my laptop to boot normally again?

Hi Bart,

Have you tried a complete cold restart (power off/on) yet?

Of course, only like a zillion times :-).

(By the way, did you just literally ask me to “turn it off and an again” ?).

LOL… yeah … I did … you just never know … LOL

Did you fix this? Can you boot with a previous kernel?
