Just run an update over a fresh install of Fedora 41, now only a black screen remains unless I bust out a bootable key. No login screen, no display of any kind after all services are listed…
I could really use some help

Can you boot using the previous kernel?
You can select the kernel from the grub menu.
Do you have an nvidia GPU?
Nope, only from bootable key, and also no, it’s an old AMD Radeon gpu. And I already tried all kernel options from the grub menu… Nothing did the trick
sudo dnf downgrade mesa*
try that command in tty (ctrl + alt + f2 to enter)
i have old radeon gpu as well, it did the trick for me. and dont upgrade mesa yet.
sudo dnf upgrade --exclude=mesa*
upgrade with that command until they fix the issue
Ok so that would be handy once I could actually log in… Which I can’t…
ctrl + alt + f2 should direct you to tty screen, which is same as terminal. you need to use first command on there, no need to login GUI
Ok so it seems the laptop eats keybinds like nobody’s business… GREAT. Seems I messed up big time again.
