Fedora 36 Freezing after Suspend

Hey, community!

Something about F36 is a little off perhaps. F35 was flawless on my laptop. I’m finding that randomly, when I put the laptop into suspend mode, it freezes completely. I get a black screen with a cursor like it’s completely panicked and halted. Perhaps so seriously it’s not logging it?
I booted the live CD and ran btrfsck on my drive, it’s fine. Also checked SMART status and everything looks solid according to the utilities… My drive is fine near as I can tell.

Anyway, it looks to me that maybe this tracker package is to blame? It looks like tracker is the built-in Gnome search tool? Anyway, here’s a snippet of the log and I’m linking to the full log…

Anyway, I don’t post to this forum a whole lot, but I genuinely want to help make Fedora better. Just reporting what I’m seeing…

Ok, it froze again today. Right after it went into suspend… Whatever’s happening, journalctl isn’t logging it.

Hello All…I found a workaround that seems to be working referenced in the thread below:

https://www.reddit.com/r/pop_os/comments/ulmxmh/regressions_in_latest_kernel_updates_and_how_to/

The script provided works for me at the moment as a work around.

Hope this helps someone.

:innocent:

How in the heck did that get there… :person_shrugging:

I haven’t seen anything that seems to indicate it’s a bluetooth issue, so far. Thanks though!

Update:

Realized that gdm.service has some errors.

I do have autologin enabled, since I have encryption set up. I’ll mess around with that and see if that changes anything. I also have zsh installed instead of bash. This article seems to suggest that maybe that’s a potential issue.
