Fedora 35 - freezes the sound setting after a while on VPN connection

HI Team,

I am on Fedora 35 - workstation with Dell Latitude laptop. Currently i am facing an issue where in the Sound setting are getting disabled as soon as i connect my headphone. I am working through a private VPN connection and my network bandwidth is also good.

There are the logs that i could capture at that moment from journalctl and also attaching the sound settings screenshot

Once the sound settings are freezed i am unable to launch ‘alsamixer’ command line utility which just hangs.
Please suggest on any troubleshooting that i can carry out to gather more details about this issue.

I have the same issues, but even when I’m not on a VPN connection.

Yes, it seems to a problem with or without VPN. Specifically as soon as i insert my headphone jack it get hanged and after that if i try to restart my machine it never reboots even after a long time waiting for wireplumber, alasctl processes to be shutdown.

I found it to be related to this bug which is currently being tracked.

Thanks @novicejava1, I hope it will be fixed.
I have changed the kernel version for the time being and it works kinda cool.

Hi @c0der00 , issue seems fixed now with kernel update - 5.16.11-200.fc35.x86_64.
