I’m trying to install Fedora 34 on an external USB drive. The machine uses UEFI and has Windows 8.2
and Fedora 22 installed on the internal drives. The installation to the external USB drive proceeds to the
point that it wants to install the boot, and thats where it hangs. The progress spinner is still going, but the
operation never completes. I’ve located the program.log file which indicates that it is apparently trying to
change attributes on .efi files related to grub2. The errors say the operation is not supported. I’m not
sure how to overcome this issue. I’ve tried other versions of linux on external USB drives in the past
and never had a problem.
