Hello,
I would like to install Fedora 34 with Cinnamon desktop. So I visited Fedora Cinnamon Desktop .
After downloading the iso file I wanted to check the file. But the checksum is missing in the CHECKSUM file (https://getfedora.org/static/checksums/34/iso/Fedora-Spins-34-1.2-x86_64-CHECKSUM ).
When taking a look at the download source I saw the file comes from Index of /pub/alt/unofficial/releases/34 (–> unofficial ). When using that checksum file the file has a correct signature too.
So is it safe to install that iso file? Is this the “official and stable” Cinnamon edition with Fedora 34?
Kind regards

You can simply install it on the regular distro.
sudo dnf groupinstall “Cinnamon Desktop”
I’m using it and it works well.

Yes, the file is fine. Looks like release engineering forgot to add the checksum to the file. I’ve filed an issue with them now:

Edit: the checksum file is here: https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/unofficial/releases/34/Fedora-Cinnamon-34-1.2-x86_64-CHECKSUM

Thank you both for your answers. And also Thanks for opening an issue with that missing checksum. User kevin wrote already an anwer to that.
