Fedora 30 after update there is create of new user guide instead of auto-login

So, after I’ve updated today, including kernel, I rebooted and instead of automatic login as per usual I was presented with guide to create a new user. There’s no way I can login to GUI, when I selected logout that would just reboot. I can login to CLI. I’m running gnome 3.

I’ve got the same problem with Fedora 31, but it only pops up sometimes. I don’t use automatic login. To “solve” it, I create a temporal new account, log out, log in with my usual account and then delete the temporal account.
I don’t know what causes this bug. Did you open a bug in Bugzilla https://bugzilla.redhat.com?

No, I didn’t. I wanted to check here first if there is any opened already. I’ll raise it if noone comes with existing.
I was worried it could do something else if I create a new user. So I’m making friends with CLI for now

I tried to create new account as @anon96691669 suggested, but that didn’t really help. When I rebooted I was back at the create new user screen, and no way to login with any account.

However, some good spirit has passed me by, and so I tried to logout (which leaves me hanging on a screen with manufacturer logo, and only way out is Alt+Ctrl+Del to reboot, or Alt+Fx to CLI), then switched over to console with Alt+Fx, and then back to GUI with Alt+F1. And that actually sent me to my account.

This is indeed a bug. I didn’t open a bug either because it seldom happens in my computer, although it is a bit annoying when it happens. If it happens to you every time you switch on your computer, you would rather open a bug in Red Hat Bugzilla. There will be more people affected, for sure.

Just created it. 1780963

So in the end the problem was caused by a misconfiguration I made based on an outdated article. More details in the bug ticket.
