Failing to log into in to KDE Desktop using Fedora 40

Just done a fresh install of Fedora 40 on Virtual box 14.

I have put the latest updates on so the software is up-to-date

Everything works fine with the Gnome desktop.

Installed the KDE-desktop software, I didn’t see any errors and rebooted the machine.

Still using the Gnome login manager, I select KDE when I log-in and the machine crashes.

Any suggestions on how to fix the problem would be welcome

I could imagine that this is a problem using GDM. Otherwise if you change to SDDM you will have trouble alias not a full working Gnome.

I was looking into a problem with the DBus Daemon which was producing errors.

Answer:
My machine installed some up dates and the problem cleared.

Thanks to who ever produced the update.
