Please note: The F45 highlights section was assisted by google gemini to pull some highlights from the change set page appropriate for a beta release announcement. I’ve humanly edited it, but if this is not acceptable, please let me know and I will rewrite that section.
I’d like to change one thing this time around. Can you change the links from ending with ?beta to /beta. The latter will work for clients that do not have JavaScript enabled. There was a complaint about that the last time around.
Also, if you have a template somewhere that you reference to create these posts, update that as well so that all future beta release announcements will use those links.
Hi Richard. Since I did tell Matthew that I would promote “Fedora Linux” when referring to the OS[1] on Fedora Magazine, would you mind changing that to “Fedora Linux 45”?
Also, I would tie “Beta” more closely to the release name and put it on the same line. IMHO, the “Beta” is part of the version number and part of the name/title of what is being released.
Well, I’m not sure. I was asking Aoife since she appears to be writing the announcement, but since there are links for the Spins and Labs landing pages, I would think that it would make sense to also list the Atomic Desktops landing page.
…and is there an order precedent?
There is an order for Marketing purposes:
Editions
Atomic Desktops
Spins
Labs
Miscellaneous
I.e., the order things are listed in on the main Fedora Project site.
I wouldn’t list it with the Editions (which are listed individually and which are meant to be promoted above all the other download types). Instead, I would add an Atomic Desktops link to the existing paragraph that lists the Spins and the Labs landing pages.
I.e, make it the following:
The Fedora Linux 45 Beta release content is also available for Fedora Atomic Desktops, Spins and Labs …
