I really would hate to see this end up killing Bazzite. As many people have suggested, I think the best option is to turn off i686 builds for packages not needed for compatibility anymore. This change is the better part of a year out, so perhaps the packaging system could be figured out so that deps for Steam, OBS to work on 32-bit could continue to be built by then.
