F42 Refresh Rate Options Gone

Hello,

I’m on a Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X and just upgraded to Fedora 42. Now all of a sudden there is no option to change the refresh rate of my display except for turning VRR on and off, and it’s stuck at 60 hz (it’s a 120 hz screen).

Is there a solution for this?

You will need to say which desktop you are on.

Gnome?

Yes, Standard install with gnome.

Yes, sorry. On Gnome.

Tried, stayed at 60, at least in gnome settings.

Config file still says 120.

Just saw this post after making a similar thread. I have the exact same laptop and also lost refresh rate settings, it’s stuck at 60hz. I’m running Fedora 42 KDE. If you boot into an older kernel version (I’m using 6.13.10 right now) it seems to work, but that’s not a permanent fix of course.

my desktop Fedora 42 KDE still has its refresh settings
