But generaally by close, I ment that they will not be possible to reopen. That java-maint will remian owners, but the apckages will not contain java - it will be jsut metapackages or simply nothing.
Note that similar thing happened for jdk6 and 7, where the packages were reintroduced as java-6/7-openjdk-legacy
