I am willing to test said WSL images on my windows machine once they are released.
Happy to test. Where can I find the tarball?

I’ve only used WSL 1 and quick Ubuntu installs. WSL 2 iirc required CPU virtualization which I usually disable (not used and avoids Windows potentially doing Hyper-V stuff).
I don’t use WSL nowadays and don’t have anything against the proposal, and seeing Fedora have an official WSL image is cool.
When I did the testing I got wsl 2.4.12.0 (did not need a pre-release) and the Fedora install just-worked. I could even run GUI apps.
I’m still on Windows 11 23H2 as its not offering me the upgrade to 24H2 yet.
