F41 - Very slow charging on old mackbook pro (2011)

running the command below, is possible to see that the full charge would take 9h from 30% battery , and is taking so long to increase 1% of the battery while charging

upower -i $(upower -e | grep BAT)

i dont have other charger to test, but in the previous old os (mac) didnt face this issue with the same charger

running inxi from toolbox:
inxi -b

https://paste.centos.org/view/56978e9e

things i tried :

  • unplug the battery cable and plug again
  • wait for full recharge and discharge

none of these above solves

There are many factors that affect charge times. Older batteries can have high internal resistance which translate to heat while charging or running, and can trigger slowdowns to avoid overheating. Apple is usually liberal with temperature sensors, so there should be a way to check battery temperature.

gonna check, which temperature interval is considered normal ?
