F41 failed to shutdown in recent weeks

Hi,
I get shutdown issue in recent weeks: The screen is hang on shutdown and mouse cursor is shown but frozen. The power led is still green(on) but red(off)

I almost keep all software updated daily and hope this issue should be fixed by updating, but still cannot power off normally now.

Here is the PC info from Info Center/ about this system:

Yes, an very old CPU and very new GPU combined in my industrial computer FPC-7802
And NVIDIA graphics driver is installed from Discover, and RPMFusion installed too.

This issue still happen even the kernel has been upgraded to 6.12 yersterday

I have similar issue with shut down.
After shut down, monitor turns off but lights are up and vents spinning.
And it is same after 8 hours - so it do not take more time to shut down.

This issue have been since I did fresh install to fedora 41 as soon as it was available as stable release.
Maybe there was short period of time when it worked fine but usually I remove power after shuting it down.

If I use command line to shut down, it do not work also.

Seems you have no nvidia card installed. Thus it’s not related to my RTX A400 card and it’s driver. It’s helpful to narrow down the issue scope.

I even cannot shutdown by shutdown or poweroff command. So I’ve to use reboot command to enter BIOS stage and then poweroff by the power button on case.
