F40 KDE Plasma Initial Setup Skipped

I am installing the Fedora 40 KDE Plasma spin on my sister’s laptop fresh, and after rebooting, the initial setup screen flashed and disappeared as the login screen loaded. I logged in, and I still didn’t get the chance to do the initial setup. I tried reinstalling, and I don’t know of any problems with the installation media. For both installs, I made sure to let the file integrity checker run completely. I’m at a loss and I feel like I should go through the initial setup, I’m aware I could do all of it myself but I know I’d forget something.

If anyone could give me pointers to fixing the issue or collecting and posting relevant data/logs then that would be great. Thanks.

Edit: After performing another clean install, I can see that when the initial setup screen flashes, it’s completely blank. May be related to other issues with initial setup. ISO was downloaded and written to the installation media today, is there anyway to get a more up to date one? (nightly build/testing or whatever it’s called)

That’s interesting. I recall some screen flashing before the initial set-up screen, but I still got the set-up window.

I wonder if it does some kind of resolution or GPU-thing that causes it not to recover back to the set-up screen? What GPU do you have? I have Intel UHD 630 (single GPU).

The laptop has integrated Intel graphics, I can’t believe she ever bought this thing. The CPU is an Intel Celeron N4000 CPU with Intel UHD Graphics 600. It has 4 GB of RAM.

I’ve set up the Gnome edition of F40 Workstation and I think I do recall some form of flickering with the initial setup screen, but I ended up going through it in the end. The real shocker is that it was on a GeForce GT 1030. This laptop has me stumped though, it might just be a problem with KDE so if it happens again I’ll try the Gnome install. I do still want KDE on this laptop either way.
