External Monitor Zoomed In on Fedora 42

Here’s the issue:

• When both external monitors are set to 2560x1440, one of them displays correctly.
• The other one (center monitor) appears zoomed in, even though the resolution is reported as 2560x1440 in the display settings. Parts of the desktop are cut off.
• If I change the center monitor to 1920x1080, the zooming issue still exists.

It’s a HW limitation of the T480s with USB-C docks. You need a Thunderbolt-3 or 4 dock for both displays configured at QHD@60Hz.

both monitors configured at QHD@30Hz should work if supported by monitors.

The 40AY dock can support both displays, but only if connected to a DisplayPort1.4 capable system.

workaround: connect one display to the system with a USB-C to DP / USB-C to USB-C cable.
