External Keyboard stopped working

As per title, usb keybord used to work and does not anymore.

I usually update quite regularly, so now 43 latest, and probably saw the keyboard working last 4-5 months ago. Different ports don’t change it, keyboard works fine on other computers, also older fedora.

I am on a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14ACH5 / AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900HX
lsusb sees it (among others) :

journalctl seems to see it:

I am not really a sys guy, so i am not sure where to look. And the net seems unhelpful today, only suggest unplugging and that doesn’t do it

Any tips appreciated

Did you break on a recent update?
Does the keyboard work on the previous kernel?

There maybe a hardware problem.

Can you try in a different USB port?

and has it using the xhci_hci module. See Wikipedia.

There have been cases for other USB devices that were being supported with device-dependent “quirks” being affected by efforts to remove “quirky” code from the kernel. In the past, Linux allowed some “out-of-bounds” behaviours like excessive power demands that are now enforced. This can require use of a powered hub or different USB port.

Compare journal entries for Linux systems where the keyboard works (if you don’t have other Fedora systems, try Live USB Installers). You can use Ventoy to have multiple Fedora installers on one USB key. You can search for the USB ID and see if different modules are used. You can also compare with https://linux-hardware.org/?id=usb:2f81-2608.
