I setup a new Fedora install a little while ago and it saw my printer right out of the box. No problems. I was able to print without issue (Epson WF-4830). Fast forward a month and Fedora has apparently decided to forget my printer exists. Nothing in the printer setting signifying it was ever there in the first place. Just….poof. All gone.
I tried to get around the issue by trying to set it up manually (since I know its IP (it’s a network printer)), but of course Fedora doesn’t recognise my Epson printer model exists in it’s preset list of models from Epson. Because screw me that’s why, apparently.
Does anyone know why Fedora has unilaterally decided to poof my printer and how do I get it back so I can print again?
And of course there are no drivers for my printer on the Epson website.
Many thanks.
Edit: Nvm. Figured it out. Who know Linux required an Apple networking service. Cause I sure didn’t.
