Eli5 - Trying to learn - Subject Backup/Restore

I am now officially moved to Silverblue and have almost all applications up and running properly.
Two questions:

  1. What is the best Backup/Recovery application to use?
  2. I found Pika but it produced an error.

For backups, I plugged in an SSD and used Pika (application) to perform a backup.
It produced an error I cannot figure out. Can someone help me understand what the error is?

I am on Silverblue and prefer using DejaDup (from Flathub) for backing up my home folder.

FWIF, I have added the .local/share/containers/ path to the Folders to ignore list, since I have no interest in backing up my containers.

Thank you. I have now loaded DejaDup and will start using that.

Gotcha, containers is not a necessary backup folder if we don’t use containers and can be added to the ignore list. Thank you again.
