So recently i have been trying to access the chat on my ios (iPhone) and i was using my Fedora account to login on my desktop and i wanted to set it up on my phone but every time i tried to log in i got the Incorrect username or password error. I was getting extremely frustrated so i deactivated my chat account figuring i would create a new account to maybe resolve the issue but now it just says.

Your account has been deactivated

No account found

Your account might have been deactivated by the server administrator. You can either try to create a new account or contact the server’s administrator.

If anyone that has knowledge of this can help me out i would be greatly appreciative.

Are you using the web login?

How did you deactivate your account?

I was on my fedora desktop in the fedora project.org chat yes I was using the web interface. I logged in through matrix and there was an option somewhere to deactivate my account so I did, I just assumed it would be like any other account you can make one you can delete it you can make another.

I’ll ask in the Matrix chat matrix-help room about how to re-enable your account.

In the mean time, you can create an account at Matrix itself or any homeserver and still access Fedora chat rooms.

Do you mean you logged in via Element?

We are getting you some help from EMS (thanks to one of our wonderful admins) - the people that make Matrix. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

ok, can you try now? I think it should be reactivated.

(and I now know how to do that myself moving forward).

Sorry for the Long delay on the reply was having hardware issues they are now resolved and i am back with another Fedora install. Ok so I think i am able to join it now i logged in using my fedora account and am in the Fedora Meeting room, so i believe i am good to go now. Thank you to everyone that helped get this resolved and once again my apologies on the late response.
