Efi system partition - unable to replace with a larger partition

hi

I’m trying to add Fedora Plasma KDE to my C drive as a dual boot option alongside Windows 11 (until i can ditch Windows for good) and when trying to install Fedora it says I need to increase the size of the partition.

As that isn’t possible I followed the instructions to create another efi partition but despite trying the various you tube videos explaining how to replace the smaller efi partition with the larger one but when i checked using Aomei under status it still shows the smaller partition as active & system whereas the larger efi partition says none under the status column.

Has anyone a suggestion as to how i can make the larger efi partition the main one pls?
(i’m reluctant to remove the smaller one in case it bricks my laptop!)

It might be easier to add a separate drive. Then you could create a separate ESP for your Linux install. MS makes their ESP just large enough for their own files and no one else’s and trying to move it will very likely result in an unbootable Windows OS. If you have the original Windows installation CD, you might be able to use that to fix the ESP if you accidentally break it.
