Edit panel after install

After doing a fresh install of F44 kde. Right click Show Panel Configuration:

Is there something I can do about this?

You can what mouse buttons do via redefining them in “Desktop and Wallpaper” settings.

  • Hit Ctrl+Shift+D.
  • Select Mouse Actions
  • Pick something different for Left, Centre and Right buttons; I have mine set as below:

are you editing the taskbar right? yes, you should see options to configre on that pop up windows you show there like position, alignment width and if it is set to auto hide and more

try to do a update to the distro, might be not showing all elements

on a konsole write sudo dnf upgrade --refresh to update everything, you will need to reboot pc because it will pull a new kde too

After fresh installation you should first update the complete system! I remember that I often had crashes in KDE Plasma when trying to configure KDE right after installation of the system.

I didn’t but one reboot later it was there, sorry.

(Should’ve known, this is Linux desktop so its reboot everytime something does not work.)

not really, i had always access to it, even on this f45 updated pc from f44, f43 too

tbh, i never saw such situation, ever, and i was there on the migration from kde 3.5.10

always keep your system updated just in case, fedora is updating things quite often these days, so a reboot each couple days is not a bad idea
