DVB-T2 tuner

Hello all.

Do anyone has working dvb-t2 tuner on Fedora ?

Plug and play or install some rpm first ?

Or maybe some well know/documented tweaks to make it work ?

What program do you use for dvb tuner ?

Any one has any experience with it and can give an advice ?

I’ve not tried https://tvheadend.org/ yet. You can find rpms on rpmfusion.
Keep us informed

I have various DVB-T2 tuners, namely:

  • PCTV Systems nanoStick T2 290e
  • PCTV Systems tripleStick 292e
  • Hauppauge WinTV DualHD

All work fine on linux though you may need firmware from the dvb-firmware-nonfree package in rpmfusion’s nonfree-tainted repository.

I use cheep Chinese DVB-T2 tuners that need firmware Download dvb-usb-af9035-02.fw | LimeWire that i place in /lib/firmware/dvb-usb-af9035-02.fw of course you can use rpmfusion nonfree-tained package that include all firmware files and to set it to watch I use VLC .Too set tv channels use w_scan program It’s not anymore in repos but I use old rpm you will find on same limewire web.To find channels you need to run example w_scan -ft -X -c AU >>AU_Melbourne_channels.conf (for my country) .After that just open file what will generate w_scan with vlc it will find channels playlist and show all of them https://x0.at/UWCE.mp4 Make sure when you run w_scan program you have good antenna connected to your DVB-T2 tuner to pick up all channels right
