dstutman/sanoid

Policy-driven snapshot management and replication tools. Using ZFS for underlying next-gen storage. (Btrfs support plans are shelved unless and until btrfs becomes reliable.) Primarily intended for Linux, but BSD use is supported and reasonably frequently tested. http://www.openoid.net/products/

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/dstutman/sanoid/

This is one of the only sanoid discussions I’ve found.

I’ve been using sanoid for about 6 mnths but make no pretense of understanding it all. Just folliowing what I find in Jim S github README.

I don’t see any posting that I am replying to… looks more like announcement…

I hope my input is not too terribly out of place and if so perhaps someone will steer me to a better place for such questions as mine
I would like to know how do do this:

create 2 snapshots per day; 12 hrs apart and let daily, weekly … follow along. I would set that up as one template, using it on a certain zpool or two.
