When I voted on bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-d5d74ec328#comment-4733124, I wondered whether I would be able to vote on an issue filed elsewhere, considering the apparent plans, by Fedora, to divest from RedHat Bugzilla where feasible.
I would obviously rather that Fedora merely host their own instance of Mozilla’s Bugzilla software, [1] but alas, with the sheer amount of issues filed at GitHub, Forgejo, and GitLab, that does not appear to be desired by many others.
Bohdi allows karma +/- for testing, not for bugs.
I doubt Fedora will build a system to vote on bugs.
To vote on a bug I assume you wish to indicate that the bug should be worked on.
But that supposes that there are people free to work on bugs that get high votes, which is not the case.
It does allow you to ‘karma’ if a given BZ is ‘fixed’ by a given Bodhi update if the BZ’s are linked. I don’t think there are any links to other issue trackers possible.
@barryascott, I meant voting on “testing”. Bodhi allows one to enter a specific bug, and have users vote on that, in addition to the generic “generally functional” option.
