Folks, we had already several discussions about the Docs Initiative and the Docs revitalization Efforts. And we discussed suitable meeting times. Tuesday 1300 UTC turned out to be the (relative) best time. Let’s get the ball rolling with a positive outlook for the new year.
Docs Team 2025 kick-off meeting part one: Tuesday, Dec 16 1300 UTC
Docs Team 2025 kick-off meeting part two: Tuesday, Jan 16 1300 UTC
Round of Introductions (Who you are, what you’re interested in)
Cursory Overview: What are we doing next
– Some organizational tasks: mission statement, groups and membership
– Advocating Docs (events, postings, etc.)
– Improving our publishing tools (guidance and/or function)
Woohoo! This can also be found on Fedora Calendar for anyone who wants to set up their own calendar invite with an iCal export:
Is this a brief presentation on the Fedora Docs Team? Or the Initiative? Just wondering what the scope is for this topic.
Perhaps it would be useful to check in on Forgejo migration? Lately I am finding some things are still on GitLab and some things are still on Forgejo. It might be useful to check in on what has been moved so far, what is planned to move next, and what things could use some help, if any.
Got it. Makes sense. Since the meeting is a text meeting, we can probably make this part very short, since people can read the Wiki page on their own time. I would like to know if meeting attendees have questions or feedback about the Initiative, though.
I’m preparing a very short summary of the initiative’s intention on our forge wiki page. So we can have a short break for reading or give notice when we have it ready on Monday, and then can answer questions and/or additional ideas etc.
