Do not play notification sound when adjusting volume

Often when I am in a library I need to adjust the volume on my laptop. However, a sound plays every time I adjust it. Is there a way to disable the notification sound when adjusting the volume?

I am using KDE and not GNOME.

Open System Settings, go to Input & Output → Sound → Configure Volume Controls (top right) and uncheck Play audio feedback for changes to: Audio volume
