Problem
In Fedora 41 Beta, dnfdragora - the default graphical package manager on several desktop spins, including Xfce and LXQt - crashes immediately upon launch. This has been fixed in a post-Beta update, but the problem will happen when running dnfdragora after install from a Beta image until you update some other way.
Cause
This was caused by dnfdragora assuming it could check the status of the dnf-makecache.timer
systemd service. This service is no longer a part of DNF 5, but dnfdragora was not able to handle the file not being present.
Not yet known.

Solution
After installing from a Beta image, you will need to update dnfdragora some other way - e.g. by running dnf update dnfdragora
. After that, it should run successfully and you should be able to use it to update the rest of the system and manage packages as usual.
