I prefer updating using dnf offline restart because it is more secure (I believe), but lately it has been hanging on 100% progress. I need to turn off the computer, although the name says that this cannot be done.
I’m afraid that I might break something, and it’s wrong.
Operating System: Fedora Linux 42
This is likely related to building the rpmfusion nvidia drivers after the kernel updates.
Does this fix itself if you wait long enough? Say 10 minutes?

I waited more than 10 minutes… My laptop is quite quick though

Then I think it’s an issue with akmods blocking the reboot.
Which I think is a known issue if you use akmods.
FYI personally I do the updates online then reboot.
I am not sure there is a security improvement doing the update offline.
Look for logs that say that reboot in inhibited would be my guess.
