I recently upgraded from Fedora 39 to Fedora 41.
The GUI dnf updater will start up and begin ‘caching installed’ - but it does nothing - for hours.
Is there something I can check to allow it to work?
I am able to run a ‘sudo dfn upgrade’ from the command prompt.
Are you talking about dnfdragora?
That’s the one - I had to go to task manager to stop it, and then it had disappeared off the screen.
I’m not surprised. I try dnfdragora every now and then, it usually doesn’t work very well (if at all) for me either. The only “solution” that I know of is to move to a different app (KDE’s Discover, COSMIC Store, or GNOME Software) or just use dnf (or pkcon to avoid entering passwords) on the command line.
