Discover/Update not working properly

This issue began with F43 but has persisted after upgrading to F44. When I log in, I will receive a notification that there are updates to apply in the lower right. When I open Discover to see and apply those updates, it will hang on the “discovering updates” page and never display what updates are to be applied. If I right-click the notification and tell it to “apply updates,” then Discover stops working, when I click on it, it doesn’t load.

Take a look here Discover reports updates, but is stuck at fetching updates

This solution has successfully applied updates, however, Discover remains non-functional and the “updates” icon in the lower right persist.

The problem remains after a reboot.

If you want to report this issue you need to raise a bug in the kde bug tracker against discover.

If you are happy to use the command line then you can do your updates with the sudo dnf update --refresh command.
You can also update flatpak from the command line.

It will either work or tell you why it cannot do the update with actionable error messages.

If you want to report this issue you need to raise a bug in the kde bug tracker against discover.

I apologize for my ignorance but how do I do this?

If you are happy to use the command line…

This functions, I’d just like to get Discover working again.

how do I do this?

One way would be to use the “report a bug” tool built into Discover.

Start Discover, select the “About” view from the list at left and pick “Report a Bug”

You would have to register an account to make a bug report

I have done so. Thank you.
