Disable fedora 43 hot corner

so i occasionally have pretty bad migraines, and they get exacerbated when i’m in the “aural” stage and am trying to finish up work quickly by the hot corner setting. i don’t want to permanently turn it off, i’d just like to know where the setting is to turn it off when i feel an aura coming on so i can use it again later when i can work again.

i’ve searched quite a bit, and a lot of places tell me to look for the “multitasking” section in system settings, but that doesn’t exist in 43 as far as i can tell. i figured it’d be in “desktop effects”, but the only thing there in relation to the hot corner is “highlight screen edges and hot corners”.

am i just looking in the wrong place? if i could get some direction as to where to search, that would be lovely. thank you!

If you are using f43 workstation with gnome it is in the settings panel (Multitasking area as you were already told).

Those buttons are toggle switches to turn the features on or off (on by default).

You may choose to turn it off permanently since the same features are handled by the ‘super’ (windows) key on the keyboard.

I also install gnome-tweaks so I can restore the maximize and minimize buttons on the top toolbar of app windows (which are disabled by default) . I also install the gnome-extensions-app and use that to enable a list of open windows on the bottom of the screen which quickly allows setting focus on different running apps without using the hot corner of the screen or the super key.

It would surprise me if the plasma settings panel did not have similar configs. I don’t use fedora kde plasma so don’t know that answer.

My experience has been with fedora workstation & gnome.

For Plasma it’s in ‘Display & Monitor > Screen Edges’

I installed plasma in a VM and with your suggestion found that setting.
Thanks for the info from a dedicated gnome user. :upside_down_face:
