I’m somewhat surprised - normally the feedback that comes in about the installer is negative.
Makes a change to see positive feedback, and you had a good time with it! Personally, I didn’t have any issues with it either, but I’m the kind of person who goes into “options” before anything else when looking at software.
Gnome is using the new design for f42 install and that is aimed at giving new users a good install experience.
I’d say this is feedback that they are the design is working.

F43 installer does have/had big issues.
When I tried to install Fedora 43 beta from the official fedora site provided ISO, the installer froze the entire system once it got to the timezones selection screen. And the fix for that was only in the Nightlies ISO (Fedora nightly compose finder), which I had to use to install F43. Check Can't Finish First Boot Setup (or let's say OOBE) - Gets Frozen / Stuck in The Middle of The Process .
That is indeed a nasty issue. It’s not the installer (Anaconda) though, it’s a GNOME specific component for initial user setup.

F43 is in BETA and the point of that testing is to find bugs before release.
That there is a problem during beta is found not a fair reflection on the quality that will be present when F43 is released.
My experience with install KDE plasma with the new install was problem free.

Yeah, but I’ve heard it was the problem on F42 too. The OP says it happened in F42.
Also how can you test for bugs if you can’t even install it? It’s a beta not an alpha/nightly release
I installed F43 Workstation beta a little bit ago; during the timezone screen I clicked an area somewhat near New York and got EDT and it seemed fine for me (install didn’t freeze and I went through the other pages), but I avoided trying to type a location because of hearing some reports about it.

Vocal minority strikes again 
Most good impressions aren’t really being shared, so it’s hard to know about them, on the other hand, humans are really quick to complain (case in point: “are we losing control of our installtions?” topic), so it’s somewhat natural to hear negative feedback more often.
