DaVinci Resolve Dual-Screen mode extending past vertical monitor

Hello! First time posting here, and pretty much any other forum, so excuse my poor writing skills and, of course, feel free to correct me if the format is wrong.

Bit of a long post ahead. I will try to explain my issue and some of the hurdles I have found while looking for a solution.

I am a video editor and I recently tried making a switch from Windows to Linux (Fedora 40 in this case), and for some reason, the dual-screen mode in my DaVinci Resolve installation doesn’t adapt to the vertical layout of my second monitor, it instead tries to keep the second DaVinci window on landscape. Manually resizing it doesn’t let me reduce its width enough to fit on the 1080px width of my second monitor (I think it’s capped at 1200px or something).
My guess is that Nvidia drivers are doing an oopsie when the software attempts to identify the orientation of the second monitor, but I know of no way to check/fix that.

Looking through different posts and forums was of no real help because there is seemingly no one running Resolve on dual-screen with a vertical monitor on Linux (or at least none that I could find).

Please keep in mind that my Linux knowledge consists of what I was able to find during the past month of switch and testing.
I also previously tried Ubuntu 22.04 but I had to change while trying to install Resolve with Distrobox because of lack of permissions. The Resolve through Distrobox installation should also not be a problem because I installed Resolve natively on Ubuntu before changing to Fedora and the window layout problem was the same.

Setup:

  • Fedora 40 on Xorg (previously Ubuntu 22.04 on Wayland)
  • AMD Ryzen 7 1700x
  • Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb
  • 4x8gb RAM
  • 1080p Landscape main monitor
  • 1080p Portrait secondary monitor

There were some things I have tried to solve this issue, for example checking xrandr, and other things I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I am not sure I was able to properly try them with my limited Linux/GNOME knowledge.
Things that I’ve tried with no results:

  • Manual move and resize the second Resolve window by super+right click > resize/move.

Lastly, I have decided to post this on the Fedora forums in the first place because Blackmagic doesn’t have official support for other distros outside CentOS and Rocky Linux.

Here are some screenshots of how it looks and my display configuration:

Thank you so much for reading through my post, I hope it wasn’t too much of a hassle to get through it.
