Cursor Disappearing After Recent Update

After installing updates via KDE’s discover app, the cursor rapidly flickers in and out as you move it around, disappearing more often than it is visible. This makes it extremely difficult to use the computer.

I am using an M1 Macbook Pro for reference. I did a clean install using the install script at https://fedora-asahi-remix.org/, and the problem was not present initially. After installing updates via the discover app, the issue returned. The issue also seems to present itself using the Fedora 43 daily builds.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If there is any information I can provide that would be helpful to troubleshoot, please let me know.

Same here, older installation on a Macbook Pro 16’“ with the latest update. Seems to be a KDE issue, within sway the cursor is correct.

I just updated on a macbook pro 16” and ran into the same problem of disappearing mouse cursor. At the moment I worked around it by going to Settings → Colors and Themes → Cursors → Size changed from 24 to 30.

Oh, changing cursor size from 24 to 30 actually solved the cursor disapperaing problem on my machine. I’ll stay with it for now. :slight_smile:

Had the same issue when I updated using discover a few weeks ago. Updated and rebooted today utilizing topgrade in the konsole and this was resolved. Seems like they move fast!
