Crashes with USB-C Hub an Kernel 6.16.x and 6.17 rc on Wayland

Hi,

my Laptop runs perfectly fine with my builtin Monitor.
As soon as I start attaching my USB-C Hub with one or two monitors attached, the monitor wents black and does not recover. Sometimes even the Capslock light start blinking till I do a hard power off.

To my laptop:
CPU: Intel i7-1065G7
GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics G7
OS: Fedora Linux 42 (Workstation Edition) x86_64
Host: 81Q9 Lenovo Yoga C940-14IIL
Kernel: 6.16.12-200.fc42.x86_64
Gnome 48.5

This happens with a with the Kernel Versions 6.16.x on Fedora 42 and also the release candidates of 6.16 in the Fedora 43 beta.
I’m running Gnome, but it also crashes on kde.
It does not crash on xfce, so it it probably related to Wayland.
It works fine if I downgrade my Kernel to 6.15.x

Does anyone experience a similar issues? Do you have suggestions what could be the issue and how to fix it?

Output of sudo journalctl -b -1 | grep -iE “mutter|gpu|amdgpu|i915|drm|wayland”
