When playing system sounds quickly one after the other (for example when scrolling on the speaker icon in task bar to change the volume), a click/crackling sound is clearly noticable. Playing sounds one after the other giving time in between does not cause this issue.

Usually, I would ignore such a thing but its causing issues with DAW software (ardour). I hear clicking/crackling sounds and serious playback interruptions in the DAW when either changing volume or even hovering over open windows in the taskbar below (the Icons-only Task manager in default KDE). The cracking and audio interruptions when hovering over the task manager open windows icons is weird as it does not play any sound when just hovering.

FYI, The ardour DAW is connected to JACK/pipewire.

I have tried the following guides about disabling suspend in pipewire and wireplumber but they had no effect:

I was using fedora 42 workstation with gnome and that had no such crackling/pop sound issues with the exact same setup and devices.
