How to install a thumbnailer on Fedora 43?

You might be missing the glycin-thumbnailer package from your install?

I’m not sure whether that should or should not be present by default on installs of Fedora Budgie though.

Thanks I have these:

$ ls -l /usr/share/thumbnailers/
total 12
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root   98 Sep 10 02:00 eom-thumbnailer.thumbnailer
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1304 Dec 10 00:34 gsf-office.thumbnailer
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root  130 Jul 25 02:00 webp-pixbuf.thumbnailer

so yes that seems missing. Thanks

Could it be that uninstalling gimp causes these to be removed?

It shouldn’t … it’s entirely possible that the set of packages that should be part of the Budgie install / spin just wasn’t updated to account for the changes in Fedora 43. :frowning:
