Cosmic gives me a shell prompt instead of greetd

I’ve upgraded my Fedora install to v41 and installed Cosmic via the command line. However, when I reboot the machine, instead of getting a lovely graphical login, I just get a prompt. If I login as my user here and run start-cosmic then it logs in. At this point, I can also hit suspend and I see what I assume is the greetd service giving me a nice looking user login area. But reboot, or logout and I’m back to a prompt. Clicking the Lock Screen button does nothing.

What I’ve tried:
I disabled greetd and enabled GDM. This gives me a graphical login, and if I boot into Gnome it works, but if I select Cosmic, it just takes me back to the login each time.
I’ve checked that the greetd systemctl service is enabled and active.
I’ve checked I have a listing for greetd in /etc/shadow

Any other ideas?
TIA

Changing the command and the user to cosmic-greeter worked
