when i use “open as administrator” copying becomes extremely slow. i was copying a folder into the /usr/share and it was 1.5mb/s. i didn’t see the same problem in nautilus file manager when i run it as admin. it copied that folder almost instantly.
Having a similar issue in GNOME. Very strange
I would expect the gvfs operation to be much slower.
Using a virtual path admin:///usr/share is always going to be slower than using the real path /usr/share
